KingLio Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 August 2026 Published by: StarPhoenix LLC
By using KingLio you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.
1. What KingLio is
KingLio is a Bible learning app: lessons, games, reading plans, a private prayer journal, a full Bible reader, and Circles: small private groups that share a daily streak. It is designed for beginners, teenagers and families.
KingLio is free today. There is currently nothing to buy, and the app takes no payment details. If paid features are added, the app will make clear what is free and what is not before you are asked for anything.
2. What KingLio is not
This matters more than the rest of this document.
KingLio is not a pastor, a priest, a counsellor, a therapist, a doctor, or a lawyer. It is a learning app made by people, and it can be wrong.
- It does not provide medical advice. Never change or stop treatment because of something in this app.
- It does not provide legal or financial advice.
- It does not provide mental health treatment. If you are struggling, please talk to a qualified person.
- It does not speak for your church or your tradition, and it claims no spiritual authority over you.
If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact a crisis service. The app will offer you these, and they are also here:
- US & Canada, Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: 988
- UK & Ireland, Samaritans, free, 24 hours: 116 123
- Elsewhere, findahelpline.com
3. Accounts
You can use most of KingLio without an account. Signing in is required only for cloud save and Circles.
- Sign-in is by a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox, because it is the only route back into your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- A child's device is paired by a parent using a short code and does not require an email address.
- You may delete your account from inside the app at any time. Doing so deletes your progress and removes you from every Circle. Deleting the last adult in a household also deletes the children in it.
We may suspend an account that is being used to harass or endanger someone.
4. Content and accuracy
KingLio contains Bible text, explanations, quiz questions, and reflections. We work hard on accuracy and we still get things wrong.
Where Christians genuinely disagree, KingLio tries to present the positions rather than rule between them. It is not a doctrinal authority and should not be used as one. Your church and your own reading of Scripture come first.
If you find something wrong, there is a Report option throughout the app. Please use it.
Bible translations, all public domain: Berean Standard Bible, World English Bible, King James Version, New Heart English Bible.
5. Your content
Anything you write, including journal entries, prayers and notes, is yours. We claim no rights over it.
Your prayers are not uploaded to us. They are stored on your device. This is a deliberate design choice and it has a consequence you must plan for: if you lose the device, we cannot restore your journal. The app can save a backup file and restore from one. Please make a backup.
Progress that does sync, meaning streak, XP, lessons and Circles, we store only to give back to you, and delete when you delete your account.
6. Circles
A Circle is a private group joined with a code.
- Anything you post in a Circle is visible to that Circle. Do not put anything there you would not want its members to read.
- The person who creates a Circle can remove members. When the last member leaves, the Circle and its contents are deleted.
- Do not use a Circle to harass, exclude or shame anyone, especially a child.
7. Family Mode
Family Mode lets a parent or guardian create child profiles and set what each child can access.
- A parent is responsible for supervising their child's use of the app and for choosing appropriate permissions.
- The parent PIN is a barrier for a child, not a security system.
- Ask Leo is off by default for under-13 profiles. Turning it on is a choice you are making for your child.
- By creating a child profile you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian and consent to the limited data described in the privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Use KingLio to harass, threaten or harm anyone
- Post anything to a Circle or the prayer wall that is abusive, sexual, or targets a person
- Try to break, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app or its servers
- Attempt to access another person's account or data
- Redistribute the app's artwork, audio or written content as your own or as a standalone asset pack
9. Availability
KingLio is provided as is. We do not guarantee it will always work, be available, or be free of errors. Features may change or be removed.
Once loaded, the app works offline: the whole Bible and every lesson are stored on your device. Signing in and Circles need a connection.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StarPhoenix LLC and its makers are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including loss of your data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect.

Plain-English summary: the app is free, your prayers stay on your phone and we cannot get them back for you, your progress syncs if you sign in, the app can be wrong, it is not a pastor or a doctor, and if you are in crisis please call someone real.
